Direct answer
Start with Story Mode to learn Michael Myers, then play multiplayer with one clear objective: Michael hunts residents and high-value Special Targets, while four Civilians warn residents, contact authorities, prepare escapes, and survive. A match rewards objective pressure more than a single long chase or an early fight with no plan.
First-hour route
- Complete the Story Mode prologue. It teaches Michael's movement, stalking, Killer Sense, and Shape Jump in a controlled setting.
- Check both loadouts. Michael always has Killer Sense and Shape Jump plus three optional ability slots. Each Civilian has unique stats, a signature trait, a starting-item path, and a perk deck.
- Learn one map at a time. Identify homes, residents, phones or authority routes, escape locations, vehicles, hiding spots, and dark Shape Jump lanes.
- Play the objective before chasing mastery. Michael should pressure Special Targets and residents. Civilians should locate residents, move them toward safety, and build police or escape options.
- Finish matches. Match completion supplies progression and Perk Points, while leaving early may prevent learning the late-game rescue, return-role, and arrest systems.
- Review the result. Note which action earned score, progress, or a challenge update before changing several loadout choices at once.
Role basics
As Michael, use Killer Sense to find pressure, stalk from cover, and Shape Jump through dark areas outside a Civilian's line of sight. Avoid spending the whole round following one fast player while the other Civilians rescue residents.
As a Civilian, use Personality to influence residents and authorities, Resourcefulness for repairs and vehicles, Athleticism for movement, and Capability for direct resistance. Michael cannot be killed, but coordinated residents, deputies, and Dr. Loomis can help detain him.
